A shade canopy is a multi-column structure with an upper steel frame, over which we tension HDPE knitted fabric (i.e. "shade cloth") to form various roof shapes like pyramids, hips, kites, hexagons, octagons, etc. (Shade sail structures don't have upper frames).

Shade canopies differ from awnings in that they have columns, steel cable and shade cloth. This enables them to be much larger than awnings. They can stand-alone or attach to buildings, whereas awnings always attach to buildings.

Canopies can have full or partially cantilevered beams. This minimizes the number of columns and enables them to be placed where they won’t interfere with traffic or present visual barriers. Examples include carports, porte-cocheres and bleachers.

Fabric shade canopies are a great way to cover Northern California's large areas. Examples include playgrounds, patios, decks, porches, car parking lots, carports, car washes, car detailing centers, pools, bleachers, waiting areas, loading zones, porticos, porte-cocheres, loading docks, marinas, walkways, outdoor storage and retail areas.
The applications are limitless because NorCAL is so hot and bright!
