Fabric Shade Canopy Awning
A commercial, tensioned fabric shade canopy awning is permanent; has multiple steel columns; and an upper steel frame that shapes cable-tensioned HDPE shade fabric into various roof styles (i.e. pyramids, hips, kites, hexagons, octagons, etc.).
Shade sails, by contrast, don't have upper frames.

These fabric shade canopies differ from traditional awnings in that they have columns and cable-tensioned shade fabric. This enables them to be much larger than awnings and have bigger clearspans. They can stand-alone or attach to buildings, whereas conventional awnings always attach to buildings. These features make them preferable for numerous applications unsuited for traditional awnings. |
| Fabric shade canopies can have full or partially cantilevered beams. This minimizes the number of columns and enables them to be placed where they won’t interfere with traffic or present visual barriers. Examples include carports, porte-cocheres and bleachers. |

Canopies are a cost-efficient way to cover large commercial areas. We constructed individual canopy fabrics as big as 2,400 square feet. They're great for cooling California patios, walkways, pools, playgrounds, car washes, automobile dealerships, waiting areas, parking lots, bleachers, etc. |
